Appointments

How to book an appointment

There are two options available for making appointments with the Practice Team.

If you wish to book an appointment you can do this via:

  • Telephone  01270 441672 between 08.00am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday and our Reception Team will be happy to help.
  • Via eConsult

We have a call back option when we have more than 7 patients in the queue, this is a very helpful tool.

Seeing the Doctor may not always be necessary. Please check the Practice Team and their roles to see who can deal with your questions best.

Your appointment

When you ask for an appointment the Reception will ask for a reason. This is so our Team can book the correct appointment for you. For example if you have shoulder pain you may be able to see the First Contact Practitioner. Also some appointments need more time. Our Reception Team are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the Clinicians.

Urgent Appointments

Each weekday morning and afternoon, the Doctors work on a rota basis to cover our Emergency Duty Doctor facility. This means that although the schedule of each Doctor is displayed overleaf, if the particular Doctor that you wish to see is on duty as the Emergency Doctor, they will not be available for their usual Surgery session and you will need to select an alternative GP or change your day if this is possible.

Routine Appointments

Kiltearn Medical Centre offers patients on the day appointments or bookable appointments up to 28 days in advance.

You can:

  • Call us on  01270 441672 – lines open from 8.00am
  • Book online (please speak to a receptionist to register for this service)
  • Come to the practice and speak to one of our receptionists

If you need help with your appointment

Please inform the practice if:

  • If you would prefer to consult with the Clinician face to face or via a telephone consultation
  • If you need an Interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs
  • If you need a downstairs consultation room
